The currency of human connection

What is a LuNote?

A new kind of currency — earned free, by being human. Spent anywhere in the TALU marketplace. Funded by the brands who want to reach you.

A new category

There are three kinds of currency.
Only one rewards you for being human.

Dollars are for what you own. Crypto is for what you speculate on. Neither one rewards you for showing up, connecting, and being part of a community. That's the gap LuNotes fill.

For the physical world
$
Dollars
What you own, what you buy, what you owe. The original medium of exchange — powerful, but blind to human behavior. A dollar doesn't know if you earned it by connecting or by sitting alone.
You earn it by working
For the digital world
Crypto
What you hold, what you trade, what you speculate on. Built for digital-native transactions — but disconnected from real-world behavior, real places, and real people.

How you earn

Connection is the work.
LuNotes are the pay.

No purchase necessary. No subscription. No algorithm to game. You earn ◈ LuNotes by doing what humans were always meant to do — showing up and connecting in real life. Free. Forever.

01
Connect IRL
Turn on TALU. See who's near. Show up. When you meet someone in real life through TALU, you both earn — no purchase, no catch.
◈ +5 LuNotes per connection
02
Introduce people
When you connect two people from your network who wouldn't have found each other, you earn more. Referrals pay better because they multiply the web of connection.
◈ +10 LuNotes per referral

The marketplace

You set the vibe.
The marketplace sets the value.

Every business in the TALU marketplace loads LuNotes with their own offer. You choose which offers you want — and spend your LuNotes on the ones that actually mean something to you.

For users
Earn anywhere. Spend anywhere.
Your LuNotes are brand-agnostic — they aren't tied to one store or one reward. Earn them at TALU by connecting, then browse the marketplace and choose which offer is worth it to you. Every business sets their own redemption offer. You decide which one you want.
For businesses
Pre-load. Wait for the right customer.
Businesses buy LuNotes from TALU and load them into the marketplace with an offer attached. When a user wants what you're offering, they opt in — you don't guess, they choose you. Your notes sit in the marketplace until the right person claims them. No wasted spend. No lost coupons. No guesswork.
The economics
$1.25 buys one LuNote.
Businesses purchase LuNotes from TALU at $1.25 each, then set their own redemption offer. The value of each LuNote to the end user is determined by the marketplace — a compelling offer attracts more redemptions, creating natural demand. During the Denton pilot, the first 100 LuNotes are free for every participating business.
Supply and demand
Value emerges from the market.
Each business contributes a fixed pool of LuNotes. When that pool runs dry, TALU signals them: your customers are looking to spend with you — time to reload. The scarcity is what gives each LuNote its pull. This isn't speculation. It's commerce with a heartbeat.
The hard question

"Isn't this just
a loyalty program?"

It's the right question — and the answer is worth understanding, because the difference is the whole point.

Loyalty points
Locked to one brand. Airline miles at the ice cream shop. They don't travel.
Earned by spending. You have to buy something first. The reward is for being a customer, not a human.
Guesswork targeting. Businesses push offers into the void hoping the right person sees them. Most don't.
Coupons that expire. Artificial urgency. Most go unredeemed. The business paid whether anyone showed up or not.
You pay for impressions. Most marketing charges you for the chance to be seen — not for the visit itself.
No attribution. You can't prove which ad drove which visit. You guess, you spend, you hope.
◈ LuNotes
Brand-agnostic. Earn at TALU by connecting. Spend at any business in the marketplace. Your choice, every time.
Earned by being human. Show up. Connect. Introduce people. No purchase required. Free, forever, funded by brands.
Self-selecting customers. Users opt in to offers they actually want. The right customer finds you organically.
Held until claimed. Your notes stay in the marketplace until the right person wants them. No expiry. No waste.
You pay per visit. A LuNote isn't redeemed until someone walks through your door. Every dollar spent is a door opened.
Full attribution. Every redemption is traceable — which offer, which customer, which day. The receipt exists.
For business owners

Pre-sold foot traffic.
The only marketing spend
with a receipt.

Most marketing buys you the chance to be noticed. Social ads charge per impression. Coupons cost money whether anyone uses them or not. Billboards go up and you hope. With TALU, you don't pay for reach. You pay for the visit — and you can prove it happened.

The model
Customers arrive pre-committed.
A customer who redeems a LuNote has already decided they want your offer before they walk in. They chose you from the marketplace. That's not a lead — that's a visit.
The attribution
Every dollar has a door attached to it.
You know which LuNote was redeemed. You know which offer. You know which customer. You know when they came in. That's full-loop attribution — something most marketing channels can only approximate.
The spend
Zero waste. You only pay when they show up.
LuNotes sit in the marketplace until a customer claims them. If nobody claims your offer this week, your notes wait. Your budget isn't burning. The moment someone walks in, you know exactly what it cost you — and it was worth it.
"The Denton pilot gives the first 100 LuNotes free to every business that wants to participate. Load them. Set your offer. See what walks through the door."

The capitalist case and
the human case are the same case.

Human connection is the most undervalued asset in the economy. LuNotes are how we fix that — by building a self-sustaining economy around the act of it. Good for people. Good for business. Good for the communities that hold both together.
